The first Tuesday during August every year is National Night Out. The event is an opportunity for law enforcement personnel and First Responders to build relationships in the community with partners and neighbors. This year, the event was sponsored by the Eugene Police Department and Fred Meyer and hosted by the The Eugene Emeralds minor league baseball team at PK Park on MLK Boulevard next to Autzen Stadium in Eugene.

The event took place this year on August 6, and it was our responsibility in the EPD Public Information Office to plan the event. My primary responsibility for the event was to create the promotion materials, which consisted of poster/flyers (above) and three public service announcements (below).
