Here is a short 2-minute video I put together of our bike ride with dad on June 3, 2017, when he and mom came to visit from La Grange California.
We started at the Valley River Mall in Eugene and came off the trail in the Jasper area of Springfield before finishing at home in Thurston.
The year of the rupture began on February 12, 2017, a mild winter day in Springfield Oregon. My athletic prowess was somewhat hampered by a slight right meniscus sprain that I sustained three weeks prior. The injury was improving at a rather quick pace, although I continued to wear a knee brace, which continued to limit my ability to run and jump.

The Gymnasium of the Mind is a documentary I directed with a team of two other students from the University of Oregon in the fall of 2012. The Gymnasium of the Mind is about the popularity of chess in Oregon from the perspective of coaches, players and educators. It aired on Oregon Public Broadcasting in 2013 and was nominated for an Emmy award by the Northwest division of the National Academy of Arts and Sciences.
